Silent Risk to Warranties

Silent Risk
If a manufacturing and/or workshop risk has been closed down for a period of at least thirty (30) days, such risk is then considered as "silent risk," and may be rated under the Warehouse Tariff.

Insurable Interest
"Insurable interest is the legal right to insure." (W.A. Dinsdale) Sec. 1 of the Insurance Code defines it as "every interest in property, whether real or personal, or any relation thereto, or liability in respect thereof, of such a nature that a contemplated peril might directly damnify the insured." This definition is applicable to property.

Electronic Equipment Insurance to Hazard

Electronic Equipment Insurance (EEI)
Accident insurance on an all risk basis for electronic equipment, such as:

   1. electronic data processing (EDP) and office equipment ;
   2. medical equipment such as electrocardiograph (ECG), X-ray and other radiation equipment in hospitals and medical laboratories, etc;
   3. communication facilities such as telephone exchanges, radio television and communication apparatus, etc;
