Landmark Coverages

History continues to be created with landmark coverages throughout the last half century, including the historic Ali-Frazier bout Thrilla in Manila and the Las Piñas Bamboo Organ, when it was air-shipped to Germany for repairs in 1975.  Pioneer is also the exclusive insurer of all national delegations to the Olympics and other international sports competitions and was designated the official insurer of the Manila Southeast Asian Games in 2005.

In 1995, Pioneer issued a fully-collateralized Php19.5 billion surety bond for the development of Fort Bonifacio, then the largest in Philippine insurance history, and in 2000 covered the Philippine season of Miss Saigon.  Pioneer continues to actively support outstanding Filipino talent with exhibition insurance for National Artists Fernando Amorsolo (2008) and Bencab (2006), as well as Anita Magsaysay Ho (2007), and provide coverage for the shows of fashion icons Monique Lhuiller (2006) and Josie Natori (2008).

More recently, Pioneer has developed a reputation in the entertainment scene with its involvement in concerts featuring Christina Aguilera (2007), Beyoncé (2007), Alicia Keys (2008), Rihanna & Chris Brown (2008), the Eraserheads reunion series (2009), the Pussycat Dolls (2009) and Justin Timberlake (2010), and shows like the Harlem Globetrotters (2009).
