Things you can do at home to care for your car
Do not start the engine of a car that has been submerged in water. That will only damage it further. Try to clean what you can by hosing down the engine with water to avoid mud from hardening.
Do everything necessary to prevent further damage. Secure the vehicle so that none of the parts will be lost or stolen.
